Dr Yuexian Shi is National Board Certified in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed to practice acupuncture in Florida. Prior to his professional training in Chinese Medicine, Dr Shi earned his MD degree (China) at the Beijing Medical University, one of the top medical schools in China. After his residency program training Dr Shi worked on internal medicine field and treated patients with western and Chinese medical method. He was successful integrating the two treatments in his career. Then he finished his Biomedicine program and Chinese Medicine study in The Second Medical University of PLA and Nan Fang University and got his Master degree and DOM degree in there.
Dr Shi was well trained on both western and Chinese medicine. He had more than 28 years of clinical experience in internal medicine. Dr Shi was awarded “Outstanding Young Nephrologist of China”, "First degree Award of Science and Technique Progress in Guangdong", and "ISN International Fellowship Award"; His work had been published in prestigious academic journals. He was a associate professor and vice director of Department of Internal medicine in Nan Fang Hospital in 1995, and he currently teaching Chinese Medicine as a visiting professor in Alterlatic Institute of Oriental Medicine (ATOM). He also had long time clinical research experience on renal, cardiovascular diseases and osteoplasty in Italy and the USA.
